Now that the summer season is upon us, I'm anxious to get back into swimming. Aquatic fitness is a fun recreational sport that offers great cardiovascular benefits. It's also a great way to burn calories while having fun. Additionally, I can get the kids involved for a healthy family-themed activity. It sure beats sitting in front of the TV mindlessly playing video games. With so many water accessories such as flotation devices, kick boards and inflatable games, the opportunities for water activities are endless.
I encourage anyone who cares about good health and fitness to get active with water sports and aerobics. Even if you do not own a personal swimming pool, public pools offer the same great benefits, and it's a great way to meet new people, too!
